A while back Alife and Asics collaborated to create a pair of “Black Lagoons” which came out looking pretty nice. Well turns out Alife has just re-stocked the Monster Asics collaboration. David Z x Asics Gel Lyte III - 7th Generation

The Asics sneaker brand, like most others, always have their ups and downs with the colorways that they produce but one series of Asics never seems to let me down and is the David Z line. This time David and Ronnie Fieg have come together to produce the 7th generation of the  Asics Gel Lyte III’s and have done a really nice job. In this pair they use black patent leather combined with a gray pig skin suede which gives this pair of Asics a nice look. These will be releasing on Friday October 3rd at David Z’s flagship store in New York as well as his online store.

It’s been a while since we brought to you a pair of Asics so here we have for you a pair of Asics Gel Lyte III Unbranded that was created with a collaboration of Solebox and Asics. The Gel Lyte III series has always been my favorite pair of sneakers because of the colors they use and the style of the sneakers. SoleHeaven and SneakArt have just recently collaborated to make two pairs of custom kicks. Each pair of sneakers has the same “news paper cut ups” theme. On the news paper clippings are both of the companies names as well as some pics of different shoes and little articles that judging from the pic aren’t readable. The two sneakers that where customized include the Nike Vandal and a pair of Onitsuka Tigers that I think came out pretty nice. The whole newspaper clippings idea is a really good one but I would change it from old dirty newspaper color to a black white and Grey color way. In the last week or so we showed you two countdown packs, the XII and XI pack and the VIII and XV pack. Now we are introducing you to the XXII and I pack. Out of all the packs it seems like people aren’t as excited about these as they are the other two. The Jordan I’s are shoes that most people love and probably going to buy the pack for so I’m pretty sure they’re happy to cope those. The XXII are not really known to be the best Jordan shoes so those will probably either just sit in peoples closets or go up on eBay. Onitsuka Tiger and Colette has collaborated and designed the shoe in the picture above. The shoe will be releasing September 6th at the Colette x Gap store. The color way is all off-white along with a blue design on the side. The shoe also has blue stars which accents the shoe very well, along with the Onitsuka Tiger logo. Last week we introduced to you the first set of the Asics GTII series and I was a bit disappointed and felt like they could have done a better job. The black ones where nice but the other ones, eh. This week we bring to you their new release, White with grey and Black grey with purple. I really like the white ones and will be picking up a pair for myself. The black and purple ones are ok but I wouldn’t get them. A release date has yet to be set but we will keep you posted when we find out.

This year Asics has been doing great with their releases. From the Asics Gel Lyte III’s to the GTII. This new release will be releasing in two different color ways. One which is all black with a white trim as well as an all black with orange black and a sort of greenish yellow. I like the all black ones due to the simplicity of them but the other ones I don’t like. The two colors that they mixed just aren’t working out for me and personally I think that they are ugly.

Asics can never seem to dissapoint me. A couple weeks ago they had released a couple of pretty ugly color ways but taking a look at the summer line up of the Gel Lyte III series I feel like they have redeamed themselves. The white, purple, black and blue color way pictured above is my personal favorite out the bunch but I do like all of them. I’m a big Asics fan and was pretty happy with a lot of the color ways that they have been releasing recently. Not the normal releases but the exclusive ones where really nice. These two new releases aren’t that bad but I feel like the color ways they used should be different. The gray ones are ok but the brown ones look like diarrhea brown. Besides the brown used I think they are pretty nice. Maybe they shoulda subbed the brown for a black? You can pick these up these up next weekend at Solebox
